About Michael Balan
Michael has been in the commercial real estate industry since 1997, closing over $1 billion in loans. He joined Thomas D. Wood and Company after working at NorthMarq's Miami office, where he assisted clients with various capital stack options. In 2021, he founded Asset Resolution Trust to help lenders sell non-performing notes discreetly and profitably. Michael has experience in traditional banking, franchise finance, and CMBS lending. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and has held leadership positions in Business Networking International. He is a licensed real estate sales associate in Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Management from the University of Maryland. He is involved in various organizations, including the University of Maryland South Florida Alumni Association, Miami Beach Police Athletic League, and Boy Scout Troop 65.
